Advanced Search

Fyle has come up some great enhancements in Advanced Search in Users and Payments pages. This helps the admin in finding the data at a granular level. 

Advanced Search in Payments Page: The path to be followed to get on to this page is 

Log-In → Switch Mode to Admin → Payments (Queue/Processing/History)

Once any page under Payments is opened, there is an option to select “Advanced” beside search tab.

Upon clicking on Advanced, admin will be able to select a category by which the search needs to be done. A search can be done by selecting multiple options and the results shown will be an intersection of these selected criteria.  

Available search criteria are as follows: 

  • User Fields: Employee, Location, Business Unit, Department, Sub-Department, Level, Title

  • Payment Fields: Unaccounted advances and Amount. Admin can perform a search activity by amount range as well.

Once the “Users” page is opened, there is an option to select “Advanced” beside search tab.

Employee (name/email), Added date (date range), Status, Role, Approver, Location, Business Unit, Department, Sub-Department, Level and Title.

Search by currency in company expenses advanced search: Adding to the existing search criteria in the Company Expenses Advanced Search can be done even on the basis of currency. 

The path to be followed to get on to this page is 

Log-In → Switch Mode to Admin → Expenses → Advanced

This feature helps the admin in better visibility of the expenses made by the employees as per the currencies they have spent. 

Mandatory Expense Fields 

With the new release of Fyle, the admin can decide on what should be the mandatory expense fields in the mobile app of the employee. 

Path: Log-in → Switch to Admin mode → Settings → Expense fields

Secondary Approvers

Bulk upload of users with secondary approvers: Adding more approvers is now very simple and this can be done during adding the employees itself. The new bulk upload template has a new field in which the admin can enter the emails of secondary approvers. Three levels of approvers can be added importing the users. These secondary approvers will be added to expenses based on specific policies.

User level restrictions on mileage

With this release of Fyle, admin can set up restrictions on mileage at employee level which means the admin can create a mileage rate for a bike and two rates for 4 wheelers and define what mileage should be applicable for a particular user. 

To create mileage rates, the following path has to be followed. 

Log-in → Switch to Admin Mode →Settings (click on gear button on top right) → Mileage

Employee can view only the mileage option which are set by the admin.

Now the admin can look at employee details by clicking on information button in an report. This helps with verification of a report. Similarly PDF version of the report also contains additional employee information for easy verification. 

Workflow for user to request access

When a new employee joins an organization that uses Fyle, typically he/she needs to wait for an invitation from the admin. We’ve introduced a new workflow is created for the employee to request access. 

Step 1: User opens: app.fyle.in

Step 2: Enter email ID and try to log in

Step 3: A page is opened asking the user to request access from the admin.

Step 4: Admin can see pending requests in the “Users” page

Step 5: Admin can provide access if needed.

Add Projects to advances and requests

With the latest version of Fyle, user can select a Project while requesting for an advance.

Data Extraction Improvements

With the latest version of Fyle, we’ve re-trained our data extraction algorithms and hence we can recognize more invoices. This works with Gmail add-on as well.

Display policy violations prominently in report and expense page

The new version of Fyle helps the admin in easy viewing of the policy violations. The violations can be looked at in both Reports and Expense pages.

Addition of comments while adding an expense

An user can now add a comment while adding an expense. This helps the approver and admin to fine understanding of the reason for which the expense is made.

If the admin wishes to add an approver for a certain expense, a comment needs to be added. This helps in understanding the reason behind adding an approver. For this, admin should select an expense and click on “Add Approver”

Comment while sending a report back

A report can be sent back only if a comment is added with the new version.

Mail to comment

Users can now respond to mail regarding a report or an inquiry, and the content in the mail will be landed as a comment. 

Email sent on Comments/Edit

If a comment is added to a report or if there is editing of an expense, an email is triggered. If an expense is removed, a comment is mandatory and the same will be sent to the mail. 

Duplication detection criteria

Duplication of an expense is validated considering the date and amount with a small delta. 

Location field type in custom inputs

In expenses, location or google map coordinates can be added in the custom inputs.

Excel Download

When downloading an excel or csv version of expense reports, the approval date will be included in the generated file.
