Generating credentials for Fyle Sage Intacct Integration

Learn how to generate the required credentials for Fyle Sage Intacct Integration

This document outlines steps to ensure that Fyle integration is able to access a customer's Sage Intacct account with the right level of permissions in a secure manner.

Step 1:

Go to https://www.intacct.com/ia/acct/login.phtml and login with your company credentials.

Step 2:

Navigate to Company -> Admin -> Roles and click on the + icon.

Step 3:

Enter the Role Name and Description in the respective fields and click on the Save button.

Step 4:

To set permission for the created Role, check the respective boxes, and go to individual Permissions one by one to set the correct permissions.

Listed below are the permissions needed for each Application / Module:

  • Company - all

  • General Ledger

    • read-only (if you are exporting as Bills / Charge Card Transactions)

    • all (if you are exporting as Journal Entries)

  • Accounts Receivable - read-only

  • Projects - read-only

  • Inventory Control - read-only

  • Purchasing - read-only

  • Time & Expenses - all (if your company is exporting as Expense Reports)

  • Accounts Payable - all (if your company is exporting as Bills / Journal Entry / Charge Card Transactions)

  • Cash management - all (if your company is exporting ccc expenses as Charge Card Transactions)

Note: If you're exporting expenses as Journal Entries, ensure to set up a journal folder as mentioned in this article.

Step 5:

Navigate to Company -> Admin -> Web Services users and click on the + icon.

Step 6:

Enter the User ID, Last Name, First Name, and Email address (company admin’s email), User type, Admin privileges in the respective fields.

Step 7:

To create a contact, click on the dropdown and click on Add.

Step 8:

Scroll down and enter the Suggested contact name and Print as fields and click on the Save button.

Step 9:

After filling in all this, scroll down to the Roles section

Step 10:

Search for the created Role (Fyle), select it, and click on the Save button.

Step 11:

You will be prompted to enter your password to create a Web Service user. Click on Done after entering password.

Step 12:

Navigate to Company -> Subscriptions

Step 13:

Please ensure that the following sections are enabled in order to export Fyle data to Sage Intacct. Click on Done after enabling.

  • Web Services (Post and retrieve information using Intacct’s XML Gateway)

  • Time & Expenses (if your company is exporting Fyle expense reports as Expense Reports)

Click on ConfigureExpense report approval settings → Approvers and assign your created Role to the Unrestricted Approver.

  • Accounts Payable (if your company is exporting Fyle expense reports as Bills)

Step 14:

  • Navigate to Company -> Setup -> Company

  • Switch to the Security tab and click on Edit.

  • Scroll down to the Web Services authorizations section and click on the Add button.

  • Add FyleMPP in Sender ID* field and add Description and Status as shown below and click on the Save button.

Step 15:

After completing all these, you’ll receive an email with a Password, Company ID, and User ID. Please make a note of it, you’ll have to enter those details in the Fyle Integration App for Sage Intacct.
