This guide simplifies the process, ensuring secure access with the correct permissions. Follow the steps carefully and refer to the prerequisites before beginning.
Prerequisites
Admin access to your Sage Intacct account.
Admin access to your fyle account.
Ensure that the Web Services module is enabled in your Sage Intacct subscription.
Steps to Generate Credentials
Login to Sage Intacct
Navigate to Sage Intacct Login.
Log in with your company credentials.
Create a Role
Go to Company → Admin → Roles.
Click the + icon to create a new role.
Enter a Role Name. Example: Fyle Integration
Enter a Description. Example: Role for Fyle Integration with necessary permissions
Click Save.
Set Role Permissions
Assign the necessary permissions to the created role.
Note: If exporting as Journal Entries, set up a journal folder as per this guide.
Create a Web Services user
Navigate to Company → Admin → Web Services Users.
Click the + icon to add a new user.
Fill in the details:
User ID: Create a unique user ID.
Last Name, First Name: Enter the admin's name.
Email Address: Use the admin's email.
Set User Type and Admin Privileges appropriately.
To add a contact:
Click the Dropdown → Add.
Enter details in the Suggested Contact Name and Print As fields.
Click Save.
Assign the created role:
Go to the Roles Information tab.
Search for and select the created role.
Click Save.
Enter your password when prompted to finalize the Web Services user creation.
Verify Subscriptions
Navigate to Company → Subscriptions.
Ensure the following are enabled:
Web Services: To post and retrieve data using Intacct’s XML Gateway.
Time & Expenses: For exporting Expense Reports.
Configure Expense Report Approval:
Click Configure → Expense Report Approval Settings → Approvers.
Assign the created role as the Unrestricted Approver.
Accounts Payable: For exporting as Bills.
Cash Management: For exporting as Charge Card Transactions
Configure Security
Go to Company → Setup → Company.
Switch to the Security tab and click Edit.
Scroll to Web Services Authorizations and click Add.
Fill in:
Sender ID: Enter
FyleMPP
.Description: Optional, e.g., "Fyle Integration Sender ID".
Status: Active.
Click Save.
Retrieve Credentials
Once the setup is complete, you’ll receive an email containing:
Company ID
User ID
Password
Safely note these credentials as they are required to configure the integration in the Fyle app.
