Your organization may have cost centre as a mandatory field in your org for employees. In this case, until a value for the cost centre is not present for an expense, it will be in an Incomplete status.

What is auto-filling of cost centre?

Fyle's text messaging functionality will not require employees to input a cost centre value when completing an expense. Our system will auto-fill the cost centre field for the expense with 97% accuracy. Once the expense is completed via text message, employees will be able to see the cost centre field already populated when they open the web app and view the expense.

How does this feature work?

  • Our AI engine recognizes the last cost centre that employees have used and subsequently auto-fills the same cost centre for other expenses. This works because in most cases, we recognized that cost centre inputs stay the same for an employee.

  • Two things can happen when an admin disables or deletes an employee's last-used cost centre. If the employee has another cost centre that they used before the disabled or deleted value, our system will auto-fill that value going forward. For example, Jake used cost centre Project Phoenix one time. After that, he started using Project Dakota for expenses, which our AI auto-filled for all his expenses completed through text message. Say, Jake’s admin disabled Project Dakota. Now, for further expenses he completes via text message, Project Phoenix will be auto-filled by our AI engine.

  • If an employee has not used any other cost centre previously, our system recognizes this and in that case, cost centre field will be asked from the employee within text messages. Using the same example, say Jake has two cost centres, Project Phoenix and Project Dakota, assigned to him. He has never used the Project Phoenix cost centre and only uses Project Dakota for expenses. If Jake’s admin disabled Project Dakota. Now, for the next expense he completes via text message, out AI engine will prompt him to enter the cost centre he wants to use.
