Review and Edit: Always review the extracted information and make any necessary corrections in the Fyle app.
Uploading HEIC Image Receipts on Fyle
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Format) is a file format used by Apple devices (iOS 11 and later) for capturing photos and images. While HEIC offers better image quality and smaller file sizes compared to JPG, it can sometimes present compatibility challenges when uploading to certain platforms. This article explains how to upload HEIC receipts to Fyle.
Recommended Method: Using the Fyle Mobile App
The easiest and most reliable way to upload HEIC receipts is through the Fyle mobile app.
Capture or Upload: Use the app's camera to capture the receipt or upload the existing HEIC image from your device's gallery.
Automatic Conversion: The Fyle mobile app automatically handles the conversion of HEIC images to a compatible format (JPG) during the upload process.
Review and Submit: Review the extracted expense information, fill in any mandatory fields, and submit the expense.
Preventing HEIC Capture
To avoid HEIC capture in the first place, you can change your iPhone's camera settings:
Open Settings: Go to Settings on your iPhone.
Camera Settings: Tap Camera, then tap Formats.
Choose "Most Compatible": Select Most Compatible. This will save photos in JPG format instead of HEIC.
