Best practices while writing queries
Use the following tips to help Copilot easily understand what you're looking for:
When specifying names of fields like projects, categories, etc., help Copilot understand which field you're referring to.
Instead of "Show me expenses for Advertising", say "Show me expenses for category Advertising".
Instead of "Show me expenses for Home Depot", say "Show me expenses for merchant Home Depot".
When looking for information related to custom fields, use the word "custom field" in your query.
For example, say "Show me expenses for custom field Job Code".
While looking for information related to any employee, try to spell their name as accurately as possible.
Navigate around and download charts from responses
Copilot produces informative charts to answer your queries. You can hover your cursor over different parts of the graph to see more information around each part.
Additionally, you can use the icons on the top right of the graph to take many actions on the graph:
Zoom in/out: You can zoom in or out on any section of the graph
Reset: You can reset the graph to its original zoom after zooming in/out
Expand: You can expand the graph to view it in full screen mode
Download: You can export a PNG version of the graph
View results as a list of expenses
To see the list of expenses that make up the graph you're seeing in any response from Copilot, click on the text saying To view this information as a list of expenses, click here above the graph.
This will open the list of expenses in a new tab. You can export the expenses in CSV/Excel format from here.

How to troubleshoot errors on Copilot
In some instances, Copilot may not able to generate a response for your query. Here's how you can troubleshoot those errors and get your queries answered:
"I couldn't find any data for your request. Could you try a different query?"
This error is faced when you ask a query for which there is no corresponding data in your Fyle account.
For example,
You might ask "Show me the total reimbursable expenses over the last month", but there is no reimbursable expenses in your organization over the last month.
You might ask "Show me the total expense under Food category", but there is no expense made towards Food category in your organization.
In such cases, you can try to ask the query again with a longer time period or with a different set of parameters- where there is corresponding data existing in your Fyle account.
"I'm having trouble generating a result for your request. Your query might be too specific, too broad, or outside my scope. Could you please try again with a new query related to expenses or reports?"
This error is faced when you ask a query which is not related to expenses or reports, or performing any action in Fyle.
"I ran into a technical issue on my end and couldn't process your request. Could you please try again?"
This error is faced due to temporary network failures or technical glitches. Trying your query again in a few seconds should solve this error.
