Sending back expense reports

This article covers how an admin can reject and send back an expense report submitted by any employee.

As an admin, you can send back any submitted or approved expense report if any changes are required. When a report is sent back, it moves into the Sent Back state and it has to be re-submitted by the user after rectification.

To send back an expense report, you can follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. All the reports that are submitted to you for approval will be visible in the Reports section, under the Submitted tab. Select the required report. (You can also do this from the Approved tab, for approved reports).

  2. Once the reports view opens, in the top right corner, click on the three-dots button. Select Send Back from the drop-down list.

  3. In the form that opens up, type in the reason why this report is being sent back to the employee. This will help them to understand what changes need to be made.

  4. Click on Send Back.

  5. The report will be sent back to the employee. They can make the requested changes and submit the report for approval.
