In this comprehensive guide, we'll walk you through the process of setting up an integration to streamline your financial data flow between Fyle and Sage 300 CRE.

Step 1: Log into Fyle and Access Admin Settings

Log into your Fyle account using your admin credentials. Navigate to Fyle Admin Settings > Integrations > Native Apps and click on Sage 300 CRE.

Step 2: Connect Your Sage 300 CRE Account

  • To obtain the necessary credentials, you have to install HH2 Sync. You can contact your Fyle implementation executive or email [email protected] for assistance with this.

  • Use the generated credentials to link your Sage 300 CRE account with Fyle.

After entering credentials, click on Save and Continue. Allow a few seconds for the integration to sync the necessary data from your Sage account.

Step 3: Configure Export Settings

  • Toggle on the Export Reimbursable Expenses option to enable the export of reimbursable expenses from Fyle to Sage.

  • Define the stage at which expenses are considered ready for export

  • Configure how the expenses should be grouped.

  • Choose your preferred invoice date setting.

  • Enable the Export Corporate Card Expenses toggle on to enable the export of Corporate Credit Card expenses from Fyle to Sage.

  • Configure the settings similar to how reimbursbale expense export settings were configured.

  • Configure a Default Vendor for corporate card expenses. If there is no specific credit card mapping, invoices will be posted against this vendor. After launching the integration, you can map each card in Fyle to its corresponding vendor in Sage 300 CRE. Learn more about it here.

Click on Save and Continue.

Step 4: Configure Import Settings

Enable the import for the required dimensions to make them available as selectable options for your employees. If you prefer to manually add values in Fyle and then map them to Sage values, establish a mapping between the Sage 300 CRE Dimension and Fyle Field and skip enabling the import toggle.

If you map the Job dimension in Sage to the Project field in Fyle, your Cost Codes and Cost Category will automatically be imported as dependent fields.

Reason: An expense coded to a Job must also be coded to a Cost Code and Cost Category.

Since Fyle does not have existing fields for Cost Code and Cost Category, you need to create two new custom fields in the system. This allows employees to select values for these dimensions in the expense form.

Optionally, you can choose to export the Commitment value based on the Job, Cost Code, and Category chosen by employees.

Click on Save and Continue.

For detailed information on setting up dependent fields and exporting commitments in the Fyle-Sage 300 CRE integration, you can read here.

Step 5: Configure Advanced Settings

Schedule automatic exports to efficiently transfer expenses from Fyle to Sage 300 CRE without manual intervention. All the expenses that reach the state of export will automatically get exported based on the schedule.

Configure data points to be exported to the description field in Sage.

Optionally, skip certain expenses from getting exported based on configurable parameters. Read more about it here.

Click on Save and Continue.

Step 6: Launch the Integration and Access the Dashboard

Launch the integration to start accessing the dashboard.

Congratulations, you've successfully set up a seamless integration between Fyle and Sage 300 CRE!
