When exporting expenses from Fyle to QuickBooks Online, by default a standard set of fields is passed from Fyle to the description field in QuickBooks Online. The fields include:

  • Employee email

  • Merchant

  • Purpose

  • Category

  • Spent on

  • Report number

  • Expense link

However, if you are looking to pass specific fields to the QuickBooks Online description, you can delete or reorder the current set of fields by following the steps below:

  1. Log in to your Fyle- QuickBooks Online integration using your Fyle Admin credentials.

  2. Head to Configuration > Advanced Settings > Set description field in QuickBooks Online

  3. Deselect the fields you do not want to pass to the QuickBooks Online description field.

  4. You can also drag and drop the fields to reorder them, as shown in the video below.

  5. Once the required fields are selected, reordered, and saved, you will be able to check a sample preview of the data passed to the description field of transactions in QuickBooks Online.
